So last week somebody asked me for computer help. It turns out he managed to hose his Vista install on an Acer. The Micro Center told him it looked like a bad hard drive, and to send it back to Acer. When I looked at it, the drive seemed fine, and I was able to backup all of his data. However I did not have a vista disc or license, and Acer did not provide one with the laptop. So he has to send it in anyway.

 I feel bad for him.
